The old C-64 game "Scarabeus" (Invaders of the Lost Thomb) has always been a fascinating game for me.
Leaving me with the remembering of the scary music and sound effects I came up with the idea to make an album, based on the story of this game, that I unfortunately never had solved.
In may this year I've asked Thaneco if he would like to participate in this album, and he immediatly said yes.
It results again in this fantastic album !
The story of the game is the following:
"All people on this planet are doomed to die by the pharaoh's curse.
The only way to break the curse and survive is if they come into possession of the magical scarab that must be found in the only pyramid on planet Octoberon069.
You are sent to find the magical scarab on this cursed planet.
After arriving on this barren planet with no sign of life, he finds himself in front of this gigantic pyramid whose large entrance door slowly opens.
He steps inside, not knowing what disaster awaits him when the great door closes behind him.
Wandering through endless corridors, with 13 niches from which large spiders chase him, our hero runs in search of the exit from this scary maze.
When he thinks he has found it, he finds himself in an even bigger labyrinth where many ghosts wandering around.
With every encounter with a spider or ghost, its energy decreases.
Will he ever find the magical scarab and survive or will he disappear into the gate of eternity?"
